My recent engagement with my work is based on the theme of urban alienation – how we live in a world that is governed by the struggle for individualistic achievement or materialistic comfort on one hand, and the inorganic urban/concrete landscape we are accustomed to. In some of the works, this work for instance, I tried to give a sense of dealing with that isolation or inorganic surrounding by a lone figure doing things that are not part of that structure, enjoying something all by himself without depending on anybody else, finding means for self-enlightenment despite everything else.
